About Us:
Who we are:

Cleveland Area Pound Pals, C.A.P.P., is a 501c3 rescue. We started our from a group of area citizens who were concerned about the conditions of our local city pound and wanted to make a change. We did this and continue to do this by working together with law enforcement, city entities, and local vets, to make our area a more informed and responsible pet ownership community.

What we do:

We are striving to improve conditions at the local pound by creating a humane facility for lost, dumped, or roaming pets, and developing procedures for pound accountability.

We are creating an effective foster network in order to give adoptable animals that come through the pound a second chance at life with a loving adoptive family.

We are educating people on the importance of spay and neuter for pets with the goal of reducing the number of unwanted and dumped puppies.

We connect people with resources that allow all who wish to spay or neuter their pet to be able to locate a provider and afford the procedure.

What we don’t do:

At this time, we are not able to take in surrendered or dumped animals directly. Due to limited foster homes and resources, we are only able to work with dogs that come directly through the pound.
